Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. $1,000 retention bonus after 100 day completion

1st Shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Position Overview

Responsible for performing physical tasks to maintain an efficient product flow, utilizing lean management principles, quality initiatives, and safety protocol, which will involve assembling, loading, storing, locating, documenting and distributing stock within the Shipping/Receiving warehouse and other areas as designated.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transport goods using forklift, and pallet jack, load and unload trucks/trailers
  • Pick and pack products to load and/or distribute into warehouse stock via forklift or pallet jack
  • Inspect trailers and contents to ensure they are safe to load/unload and all guidelines are followed
  • Ability to read production work orders/blue prints and assemble product as assigned
  • Verify inbound/outbound shipments (quantity, quality, packaging, etc.) and complete all paperwork
  • Label outbound shipments and allocate them to their designated lane including stock put away
  • Assist in maintaining accurate finished goods inventory, including cycle counts as required
  • Conduct daily floor sweep for safety/housekeeping/audit purposes
  • Work effectively to ensure all product is shipped on time and put away daily
  • Complete end of day audit including closing procedures, put away and clean up
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs when required
  • Shift changes, overtime assigned as necessary based on demand

Skills and Experience

  • Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills along with written and oral communication expertise
  • Must have outstanding organizational abilities
  • Strong PC skills needed in windows based programs including Excel and Word
  • Prior experience using SAP preferred
  • Experience in operating forklifts preferred
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Keen eye for detail
