The Sales Applications Engineer, US will be responsible for leading proposal development activities. As a key member of our sales team, this position will work closely with our Regional Sales Directors, completing pre-sale technical requirement assessments, and producing specific statement of works tailored to each qualified prospect’s needs.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes
- Leading full cycle proposal development activities to deliver the scope of works tailored to each prospect’s requirements
- Managing projects and/or programs with industrial partners
- Working directly with operations, engineering, and project management functions at both owner-operators and engineering companies.
- Effectively contributing to proposal development process innovation.
- Technical Assessment of a qualified prospects specific requirements to achieve desired carbon capture results.
- Management of technical deliverables needed to complete statement of works.
- Technical Liaison to position Carbon Clean solutions with customers.
- Technical Sales Support by coordinating deliverables with end-users, equipment manufacturers, and EPC’s.
- Process simulation and process support by developing gas treating simulations in Process Design Software. And communicating PFD’s, process summaries, and equipment sizing to end-users and EPCs.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Extensive experience within Project-based industries such as Renewable Energy, Oil and Gas or Construction, with knowledge of relevant Codes of Conduct, Certification Requirements,
- Significant demonstrable experience in engineering, applications, or project management.
- Knowledge of gas separation technologies used in gas processing, gasification, carbon capture, or industrial gas processes.
- B.S. in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) or physical science (chemistry, physics etc.)
- High technical fluency with excellent communication skills, verbally and written.
- Ability to learn one of the following simulation tools: ProMax, ProTreat, or Aspen process for modelling of gas separation systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, developing, and entrepreneurial organization; high level of flexibility and adaptability required.
- Strong relationship building skills, especially building relationships remotely.
- Agile and hands-on approach to managing technical customer inquiries.
