Marketing @ Deako
The marketing team is a small but mighty team of smart, dedicated people. We split our time between many different facets of the company, but above all are customer focused and driven to communicate the value of Deako as effectively as possible.
Your role will be integral to the way our customers are introduced to, get to know, and ultimately develop a relationship with the Deako brand. You will work closely with all members of the marketing team to do this, as well as collaborate closely with product, sales, customer experience, and support teams to develop and communicate a cohesive message to each of our customer segments. Along with touching most, if not all, of the communication that goes out to our customers, you will own Deako’s social media strategy and implementation.
This role is based in Seattle, WA.

The interview process can be stressful! We’ve put together outlining what you should expect from the process.
Monitor and respond to any and all social media messages and comments
Move projects forward at an efficient pace while remaining flexible for shifting priorities
Attend all scheduled meetings and keep calendar up to date, including blocking time for professional education
Stay current on all email and Slack communication and follow up when needed within 24-48 hours
Projects you’ll work on
Review and update B2B sales materials including pitch decks and sales flyers as needed
Write copy for emails, blog posts, social, etc based on campaign messaging and goals
Write internal and external educational content about products and programs
Create or edit video scripts working closely with Multimedia Specialist
Work closely with Web Specialist to craft unique and effective web copy with SEO strategy always in mind
Excellent writing skills and ability to write quickly and effectively for all customer segments
Self-starter attitude with strong critical thinking and observation skills
Experience crafting social media content and monitoring various social channels
Good understanding of SEO and ability to make optimization suggestions based on knowledge
5+ years of experience in copywriting or marketing role
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
Experience in Hubspot or similar CRM and marketing automations tool
Basic design skills in Adobe tools, Sketch, or Canva
Experience in real estate, residential building, or residential electricity
Hybrid work environment (Tues/Friday Remote – M/W/Th in Office)
