Role Purpose Statement:

The Renewables Site Investigation Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining our geotechnical site investigation business on the East Coast of the US. This Seller/Doer will represent the Company predominately in the Offshore Wind industry by offering the multi diverse expertise of the individual and the Company.

Key Responsibilities

Position-Specific:

  • Must have existing client relationships in the renewable energy market with a proven track record of winning work.
  • Must be able to recognize business opportunities, secure these as projects and complete them technically and commercially.
  • Knowledge to complete geological/geophysical/geotechnical site assessments for offshore renewables projects.
  • Capability to complete analysis of all forms of geophysical data collected for site investigation purposes.
  • Work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong project management skills in successfully scoping, securing and managing project teams and deliverables.
  • Formulate presentations for clients and present sound factual presentations.
  • Conducts activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursues continuous professional development and maintains a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Additional duties as required.

Safety:

  • Works in a safe manner at all times and reports all health and safety incidents and concerns, including near misses, accidents, and injuries.
  • Meets all responsibilities as outlined in RPS’s Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) policies and management systems.
  • Participates in any training and safety initiatives implemented by RPS.
  • Complies with all reasonable safety directives and work instructions.
  • Immediately stops work if it is not safe to continue.
  • Participates in incident investigations as required, ensuring identified corrective actions are tracked and completed.

Minimum Professional Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a graduate degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Ten+ relevant experience (combined onshore and offshore)

Other:

  • Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work.
