Job Summary

The Repair Coordinator reports directly to the Service Center Manager. Together they form a team that is responsible for all aspects of a service center order from its acceptance to its shipment from the factory.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Project Coordinator acts as a liaison between sales, operations, engineering, quality, vendors, and intercompany resources by preparing detailed reports, cost summaries, routing documents and quotations for repair and upgrade jobs at the service center. Project Coordinator coordinates repair and upgrade jobs by providing clear work instructions that include all pertinent information needed to process repairs effectively and efficiently through the service center while meeting customer requirements.

The Project Coordinator partners with the shop supervisor and production team to meet customer requirements, delivery commitments as well as quality and cost objectives. The Project Coordinator supports the team in effectively prioritizing production schedules based on customer ship date, shop capacity and supply of parts and materials. The Project Coordinator is process driven and is constantly looking for opportunities to trim waste from processes and implement process improvement. The Project Coordinator will represent the service center and Ruhrpumpen to the highest of standards and always act with integrity while collaborating effectively with peers, team members, sales, suppliers, and customers. Due to the pace of service and repair work, the Project Coordinator will possess a high sense of urgency and ability to effectively juggle changing priorities to meet customer commitments.

Knowledge

Good communication skills both written and oral are required. Good people skills are required for inside sales contact with customers, salesmen, etc.

Above average computer skills are needed with Excel, and Word.

Experience

3-5 years pump planning experience preferred

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or combination of education and experience.
