At South Dakota State University, the College of Education and Human Sciences provides world-class education through leading research and community outreach. We are looking for a people-centered, creative, and self-motivated professional to join our team. This person will provide a high level of support to the college by supporting the Dean, Directors and internal college communications.

Job Responsibilities: Supports the dean in implementing activities developed by the dean or school directors. This includes assisting the dean, school directors, and faculty/staff in planning and implementing activities that enable the college to function in an organized, informed, efficient and effective manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Or ability to learn SDSU and BOR processes and procedures
  • Customer service practices
  • Computer software and systems (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Academic outreach and recruitment marketing
  • Event coordination

Skill & Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships
  • Prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Recognize discrepancies in information
  • Assess effectiveness of processes and procedures and develop changes or alternatives
