Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Production Activity Coordinator (AC) at our EO Catalyst manufacturing site in South Charleston, West Virginia!

About you

As the Production Activity Coordinator, you will work with plant personnel and functional support organizations to coordinate, prioritize and schedule plant activities. You will be trained on the day-to-day operation of the facility and provide a resource with plant knowledge and experience to coordinate the Operations Dashboard (OPD) Task Lists, ensure activities create value and are scheduled in a safe, reliable and optimal manner. In this role, you will be a qualified day team member and provide on-call plant coverage and support.

Also, you can complete each of the following tasks:

Update and monitor Operations Dashboard (OPD) Task Lists in order to determine normal staffing needs.

Ensure operational tasks are value added, clearly defined, scheduled and completed. (i.e. effective use of OPD-Task List)

Route work originating within the Plant to the appropriate work group or service provider.

Review work status with service providers and work originators.

Coordinate work from functional support organizations to be performed by operations personnel. (i.e. Coordinate timing and scheduling of process equipment preparation and maintenance with the Maintenance Scheduler)

Oversee and is responsible for end-of-month inventory tracking and reporting.

Serve as the GMISS focal point for the facility to ensure all required equipment is registered and is being inspected at the required frequency.

Act as plant liaison to functional support organizations for general activities and sharing of core plant personnel.

Ensure appropriate operational resources are allocated to perform operational tasks and activities.

Utilize, update & adjust the OPD-Task List to schedule plant activities that impact operations.

Serve as the Operations Turnaround Coordinator to ensure Start Up and Shutdown tasks align with plant operations activities. Ensure Turnaround task lists are generated and communicated to the maintenance organization.

Participate in development/monitoring of the maintenance budget and apply status/forecast as an input to manage maintenance work in the facility. Operations has accountability for the maintenance budget and this role is primary focal point for monitoring/applying status of the budget to effectively manage maintenance spending.

Ensure the Operate Plant Work Process is followed.

Work with plant and maintenance resources to ensure GMISS and other plant specific compliance activities are scheduled and completed to maintain compliance.

Lead MOC’s and procedure updates within the plant.

Coordinate raw material needs with the Supply Chain Planner.

Ensure the Management of Change process has been followed for any work that results in a change.

Prioritize work orders using knowledge of plant’s / department’s physical condition, the PPM program and budgetary constraints.

Review work status with service providers and originators and adjust schedule as required.

Actively participate in the maintenance schedule update meetings.

Decide which jobs are to be included in the schedule.

Communicate schedule to plant/department personnel for equipment preparation.

Required qualifications:

A minimum of a High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent.

A minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience.

Background experience in SAP.
