About the Photographer’s Assistant

The photographer’s assistant is responsible for assisting the photographer with directions on arranging the photo set, props and children’s poses, as well as making sure children are groomed and neat for each photography session.

There are 3 departments with whom you will be in constant communication with. The Production Manager, Account Managers and Customer Support.

Tasks

As a TMS Photographer’s Assistant, these are your top responsibilities:

  • Organize equipment and materials, assembling necessary equipment and ensuring that all supplies are available on Picture Day.
  • Represent TMS professionally at all times while adhering to all company and school rules and policies.
  • Arrive on time to the assigned & confirmed Picture Day location.
  • Maintain confidentiality of school and student-related information.
  • Assemble alongside with the Photographer the mobile studio.
  • Make sure children are groomed and neat for each photography session.
  • Connect with children’s to get a natural smile and attitude during the session.
  • Assist photographer with studio props and children’s poses.
  • Create an environment where children feel comfortable and willing to be photographed.

Requirements

As a Photographer’s Assistant, these are your must-haves:

Educational:

  • You have a High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • You have 1 – 2 years of experience working in customer service, photography, or service industry strongly preferred.

Personal:

  • You are Fluent in English and in Spanish (oral and written)
  • You are 18+ years old
  • You are willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen

Transportation:

  • You have a valid U.S. driver’s license and a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
  • You have your own and reliable transportation.

You will shine if

  • You are capable to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have experience in early childhood education and related fields.
  • You have 1+ year of proven customer service and related fields experience.
  • You are happy to travel around Miami Dade and Broward areas (50–100 miles).
  • You are responsable and reliable.
  • You are a morning person.
