General Description

The Performance Analysis Associate monitors and develops project and asset performance indicators in order to analyze performance reports. Supports the development of organizational and business processes and standards. Recommends corrective action as needed and proposes new metrics and data collection and analysis methods in order to guarantee information reliability and support the decision-making process. This position will be on a hybrid work schedule, working three days in the office and two days from home.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Analyze operational performance of wind turbines and develop tools to monitor performance and routinely identify performance deficiencies in collaboration with Performance Engineering and Energy Assessment teams
  • Develop software tools and analytical techniques to support the implementation of the company’s Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC), used for monitoring wind farms in real time
  • Manage large amounts of real-time and historical data and supports the development of software applications to transmit data to other entities
  • Ensure quality control of performance datasets by confirming accuracy against original sources, checking for errors manually and automatically, and updating datasets regularly
  • Maintain relationship with Asset Managers and managers of operating sites, enabling successful plant operations by providing timely performance analyses and escalating issues and opportunities identified
  • Work as part of a team, supporting and leading initiatives that enhance the group’s capabilities and performance
  • Perform analyses of wind turbine performance to identify performance improvement opportunities and completes detailed comparisons against budgeted expectations
  • Design and revises standard operational reports to monitor plant performance
  • Supports the implementation of the company’s Enterprise Management System for data collecting and reporting
  • Work with technical staff to identify turbine modifications that can increase performance and quantifies potential financial benefits

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 3 – 7 years, preferably in power generation, including experience with network-based enterprise reporting
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and SQL Server
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. (Preferred).

Behavioral requirements:

  • Ability to comprehend and apply a variety of subjects relating to wind energy, including meteorology, aerodynamics, and electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to perform duties in a collaborative working environment
  • Experience with network-based enterprise-reporting
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new software programs
  • A technical understanding of the electric power and wind industries
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills
