Effective communicator who is driven about creating and maintaining relationships with team members and partners and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A Payroll Specialist with 1-2 years of experience is preferred who has knowledge and history working with ADP Workforce Now and Paycom. Potential to promote to Payroll Specialist II with skills assessment and company growth needs.
This position will be mostly remote, but training and some meetings will require days in the office in Westlake, TX.
You will be part of the Payroll Team and will report to the Payroll Supervisor, who reports to the Human Resource Manager.
Responsibilities of the Position:
Communicate with partners to understand requirements and expectations, clarify processes, provide regular updates, and receive feedback on payroll efforts to ensure requirements are met
Review Payroll and ensure timely processing to meet payroll cycle SLAs
Build relationships with supervisor to develop & establish payroll strategies to support multiple partners
Develop and maintain Payroll policies and procedures.
Process new hires, employee changes, benefits withholding and payroll deductions
Conduct all functions for bi-weekly payroll for multi-state operations
Review federal and state payroll tax deposits, returns and W-2’s done by ADP and/or Paycom
Track time off requests and balances
Reconcile insurance premiums
Assistance with unemployment and workers comp claims management
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
