Provide administrative and paralegal support to two business/regulatory attorneys in the Products Pipelines business segment.
Provide assistance with the Corporate Secretary function for the business segment’s joint ventures including preparing corporate governance documentation, including resolutions, written consents, minutes, meeting notices, board books, and master calendars.
Prepare, revise and file correspondence, reports, budgets, legal invoices and agreements.
Coordination of meetings, travel and presentation materials.
Maintain spreadsheets on all legal expenses and code invoices for payment.
Prepare simple contract amendments/revisions for a variety of commercial contracts and input attorney changes on complex commercial contracts.
Perform preliminary review of ancillary documents for commercial agreements such as assignment consents, lien and default notices, confidentiality agreements and letters of intent.
Provide support for resolution of litigation and other disputes, e.g. witness summaries and discovery.
Preparation and assistance in managing regulatory agency proceeding dockets.
Position level will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills and qualifications.
High School Diploma
Associate’s in Paralegal Studies or business related discipline preferred or Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline preferred.
Paralegal formal training in certificate program preferred if there is no Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
5 or more years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant/paralegal.
Excellent PC skills including Adobe, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Experience with Lawson, Ariba, LegalExchange, DocuSign, and iSearch a plus.
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills as well as proven organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
Must be dependable and able to meet deadlines.
Maintenance of confidential information is critical.
Must be able to work with limited supervision and use individual initiative.
Must be able to work with a group, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position)
Experience in budgeting, budget tracking and analysis, and invoice processing would be a plus.
