Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management Firm celebrating over 31 years in the industry, is currently seeking a full-time Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer for an important public agency construction project.

Roles and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Armand Corporation, the selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing mechanical and plumbing design documents for tenant projects at the client’s facilities for compliance with applicable construction codes and the client’s technical standards. Specific responsibilities include: analyzing and reviewing drawings, specifications, reports, and studies for compliance with codes and standards; coordinating the review comments from other technical disciplines and preparing memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments; and attending meetings with tenant design consultants to discuss the review comments and resolving those issues.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Professional engineer’s license in State of New York and/or New Jersey is preferable
  • Minimum of five (5) years of diverse experience in building mechanical and plumbing systems design
  • Knowledge of applicable construction codes and their reference standards in New York City, New York State, and State of New Jersey
  • Proper understanding of engineering disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities
  • Interpersonal and effective communication skills, both oral and written, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a decision-making capacity
