Hybrid – Remote The Colwell Law Group is a fast-paced, rapidly growing family law firm with multiple beautiful locations in Albany, Saratoga, and Syracuse, New York. We are currently looking for passionate matrimonial/family law attorneys for our Saratoga Springs office who will zealously represent our clients. The best candidates will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities: Examples of duties and responsibilities: • Manage personal cases using attention to detail and strong time management skills • Draft pleadings and various other legal documents timely • Attend court appearances and conferences (both virtually and in person) • Provide clear and direct legal advice to clients • Meet with the managing attorney for monthly case reviews • Attend legal team meetings when scheduled • Work with the legal support staff to ensure goals are met Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have two (2) plus years of experience in civil litigation with the key requirements of: • Litigation experience (matrimonial and family law, preferred), including but not limited to court appearances, document drafting, and negotiations. • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, especially with clients. • Excellent legal research and writing skills. • Strong professional judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and strong work ethic. • Willingness to work in a team and contribute to the overall goals of a growing law firm. • Admission to the bar association required About Company: Benefits: 401(k) MatchingDental InsuranceHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time OffVacation
