StaffDrafts is seeking a licensed Nursing Home Administrator to provide support to a Regional Maryland Hospital Center (RMHC), located in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. Our client is an integral part of the health services system of the State of Maryland under the direction of the Maryland Department of Health. This hospital center is one of two (2) regional chronic/long-term care hospitals administered by the Department of Health and serves residents of the State of Maryland who require in-hospital treatment programs for their illness(s). The Comprehensive Care Program has an average inpatient daily population of 36 residents.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

A Qualified Licensed Nursing Home Administrator should have the following qualifications:

  • Must possess a current Maryland license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator or be willing to work towards it immediately.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a facility with a minimum of thirty-five (35) beds. Provide references for the contact name and locations of previous experience.
  • Comply with the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) for Nursing Homes (10.07.02) and the standards of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Maryland Department of Health’s Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ) and The Joint Commission (Nursing Care Center).

Responsibilities

  • Provide services on the premises of Western Maryland Hospital Center located at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742, unless other arrangements are pre-approved, in writing, by the Center.
  • Provide forty (40) hours per week of Nursing Home Administration for a duration of approximately three (3) months. Specific times will be determined by the Center.

The Nursing Home Administrator shall be responsible for the following duties:

  • Responsibility for implementation and enforcement of all provisions of the Patient’s Bill of Rights Regulations under COMAR 10.07.09.
  • Reviewing and approving plans, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance as well as quality controls and established and maintained.
  • Provide administrative and quality assurance oversight in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in Center committee meetings and other meetings as necessary to provide direction and guidance related to compliance.
