The Application Services Delivery organization is looking for a Director, Strategic Partner Management to take responsibility for managing a multi-million-dollar budget, internal employees, and our delivery partners to provide application management services to several of our business units and corporate shared service divisions.

In this role, you will work extensively with business leaders in the day-to-day delivery of services. The position will have overall accountability for the availability, security, and reliability in accordance with the organizations compliance policy and standards.

Comprehensive management of strategic partnerships requires ongoing oversight and action across many functions and include these principal duties & responsibilities:

Provide direct leadership to the team (a combination of internal Standard employees and third-party contractors) who are responsible for supporting the overall mission and objectives of our ASD Strategic Partner(s) engagement that may be performing other oversight roles or directly contributing to projects or programs.

Manage Core Systems IT budgets, prepare contracts for new or ongoing services by other partners. Approve and reconcile monthly invoices within the Core Systems area of responsibility.

Continue to optimize service delivery: Use qualitative and quantitative measures to continue evolving the Core Systems engagement model with our business stakeholders and the partner delivery teams to improve business outcomes. Build business relationships with internal stakeholders while overseeing the execution of larger project efforts with delivery partner(s) and, make adjustments to assure the overall project/program objectives are achieved.

Oversee /perform the necessary risk and compliance activities that assure partner(s) are adhering to the company’s policies, standards, and processes (to include IT processes for access management, change management, or other compliance activities as identified.) Develop and enhance the communications vehicles used to share the benefits of the strategic partnership(s) with our internal stakeholders. Identify and execute on areas of improvements that will deliver additional value to the company. Enhance and nurture the relationships with our strategic partners supporting the ASD Strategic Partner Management Organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience: Requires 7+ years of progressive experience leading an application/solution delivery team and 3 years leading/managing outsourcing of business-critical technology functions with accountability for the primary functions in this role.

Broad knowledge of the IT industry and the products and services provided by technology vendors

Ability to evaluate partner delivery and pricing in the context of business value delivered and alternatives (such as internal labor and alternative partners.) Ability to combine benchmarking and other data/inputs with near and long-term delivery needs to determine and effectively influence resource models

Understanding of the vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor management), and how internal roles interact and operate throughout the duration of vendor engagements. Ability to interpret and act on score cards, data visualizations, and analytics, particularly with regard to trends in vendor performance and activity.

Solid grasp of: financial concepts (depreciation schedules, capitalization, return on investment, total cost of ownership) contract management & negotiation, and relevant compliance requirements.

Travel: Two (2) international site visits annually with vendor partners and occasional domestic travel

Note: The Standard is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. The salary for employees working in Colorado in this role is listed below. The Standard’s package also includes incentive plan participation including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Please note, eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range: $108,300.00 – $192,100.00
