Resource Innovations is seeking a Contracts Coordinator to join our team. The Contracts Coordinator will support a large-scale Market Transformation (MT) program to benefit California ratepayers. There is a strong preference for California residents, but remote candidates will be considered. The Contracts Coordinator is focused on delivering solutions to increase the adoption of energy efficiency and clean energy technologies. As a Contracts Coordinator, you will work in a dynamic environment managing and overseeing all contracts related to a large statewide program in California. You will develop and/or review services and procurement contracts, participate in contract negotiations within an authority matrix, and work closely with legal to execute (and improve) our contracting process. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate and support contracting efforts throughout contract life cycle: proposal, formation, administration, and closeout.
  • Negotiate, draft, edit, and review contracts
  • Prepare amendments, task orders, change orders, and other contract related documents, including interacting with subcontractors
  • Work with Legal to define contract flow downs to Subcontracts, Supply contracts and other Agreements.
  • Track contract authorizations and correspondence
  • Maintain detailed and organized files in our contract management system
  • Establish and improve record keeping and contract database systems
  • Monitor contract performance, including the reporting and status of vendor/owner deliverables
  • Prepare/disseminate information regarding contract status
  • Maintain a detailed audit file for each contract
  • Analyze and mitigate risk
  • Support other functions of the business operations team, which can include reports to clients, organizing certifications, or assisting accounting, as needed
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate degree is required, A Bachelors degree is preferred
  • 5+ years business experience with at least 2 years of previous direct contract experience
  • 2+ years’ experience working with database systems, such as a contract management system
  • Paralegal certificate or in lieu of certification 1+ years additional legal/contracting experience
  • Great attention to detail. Highly professional and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to interface with the customer and subcontractors regarding all matters related to contracts and projects including those related to the review and process of changes.
  • Commercial acumen, skilled negotiator with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Results oriented. Able to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience, including Excel and Word
  • High degree of inter-cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness.
  • Flexible team player who is willing to pitch in where needed.
  • Experience working in the clean energy/energy efficiency industry preferred
  • Experience working in a startup environment preferred.
