Develop and manage technical facilities operations; develop policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency; engage in future planning. Manage and administer the overall technical facilities operation budget. Oversight of emergent technical facilities; new spaces, and technical facilities needs with regard to special projects and community partnerships. Manage departmental access policies as well as technical safety programs; ensure adherence to facilities usage regulations, security, etc. Act as a department technical liaison. Manage staff. Produce end of semester final shows.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree interactive media/media production, media management.
Required Experience:
5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with technical facility management and staff supervision.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Curation of interactive media exhibitions (in galleries, museums, public spaces). Working with budgets and space planning tools.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills, and written and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all levels. General knowledge of computer hardware and software, digital production technology, audio/visual technology, VR/AR, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of new media production related software and hardware. Be able to understand and support the culture of the department as explained in its Mission Statement and Values Statement.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $105,000.00.
