The job purpose of this position is to successfully manage, support and execute aftersales and commissioning projects. These projects can range from customers struggling with machine problems, broken parts, process problems and various different aftersales challenges to commissioning an Extrusion line.


Century Extrusion has a unique opportunity for an Aftersales and Commissioning Manager. This position will be responsible in supporting customers with problems on their CPM Extrusion lines, it includes troubleshooting, communication with various disciplines like engineering, vendors, electrical teams and software teams. This position is responsible for getting problems solved in a timely manner and keeping the customers happy. Coordination, directing and driving each problem to a solution will be the primary goal of this position.

The Aftersales and Commissioning Manager will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, supporting extruder and extruder line installations in the USA. This also includes machines rebuild and reconditioning at a customer site. The main responsibility for this position is making sure all the teams are coordinate, the customer is informed of the process, arranging KO meetings between the customers and the commissioning teams and supporting the teams during installation with any support they need.


  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to generate project schedules in Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Ability to generate and read process flow diagrams in Auto CAD PLANT3D
  • Ability to use Autodesk products
  • Experience with ERP and MRP systems (SAP)
  • Attentive to detail
  • Technical or engineering degree preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • 20-35% travel is required
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Self-motivated


  • Schedule and lead necessary meetings
  • Communicate between customer and supporting staff on the required information to resolve a problem or install equipment
  • Create and maintain a project status report
  • Create and maintain a project/installation schedule
  • Manage commissioning documentation
  • Manage commissioning teams onsite
  • Support commissioning teams onsite
  • Support customers with aftersales problems
  • Coordinate in teams with engineering, sales, subcontractors and customers to resolve issues
  • Manage start-ups
  • Maintain and organize all project digital equipment files used in the start-up process
  • Evaluate and improve aftersales process
  • Evaluate and improve start-up process
  • All other duties as assigned


This position is a non-supervisory role and it requires a working awareness of and productive interaction with many related and unrelated functions.


This position exchanges complex/technical and confidential information with peers, management, customers and OEM suppliers in the development of a proprietary and non-proprietary engineering detail for the project.


Problems encountered are numerous and diverse. Complex thinking and good judgement is required to evaluate, analyze and formulate a solution to resolve the problem.
