Free Summer Meals -- Brooklyn Locations

“Thousands of families across our city suffer from food insecurity. Summer break can be an especially challenging time for those who rely on free and reduced school lunches and breakfasts to nourish their children. To meet this need, the Department of Education (DOE) provides free summer meals to any child under the age of 18.



These programs are even more important for undocumented immigrant youth, who often get overlooked in city and state-level aid. We are, however, very happy to be living in a progressive state that does offer free meals to all of NYC underprivileged youth. Below is an excel file (via the Office of Councilman Albert Vann) of all of the Brooklyn Locations where you can go for free summer meals:
